The CNY Beer Pong League was started in January 2006 by League President Jason Hughes. The league is based out of the Greater Syracuse Area of New York, with members from all around the Central New York including Ithaca, Albany and Rochester.

Since the creation of the league, the number of members and consistant players has steadily grown to over 50 people. The league has also been featured in a full page news paper article (PDF) in the Syracuse Post Standard.

The league averages a tournament approximately once every 4-5 weeks at various locations and bars around the syracuse area. For more information on our locations or to request a tournament to be held some where, please go to our locations page.

Welcome to CNY BEER PONG!!!!!!!

A lot of people ask me, and I quote “Why would you start a beer pong league?????”

Well here’s the reason.

I started this league because it’s very hard to meet new people. Society has forced us to stay in our original groups from High school And College. For instance, how can you look for friends in a normal setting? The answer is, you really can’t. Take a look at this scenario; You’re a guy in a bar and you see a group of other guys having a great time, are you really going to walk up to those guys and start talking to them…no not likely. But if you did, I bet they may look at you a little different and think you’re a little strange.

 It is very hard to find new friends when you’re out of school. Once you’re out,  you still tend to stay with the original groups you were in because you have the same things in common and you can relate. That’s why being on a sports team, in groups, bands, and fraternities were so important. When you are part of a group and you have people behind you, this brings out SELF-pride and comfort to anyone.

 Think about this… ten to twenty years ago, men and women formed groups such as bowling and pool league’s to feel as part of a group and to form friendships. Now, these leagues are considered by some to be old fashioned. WHERE can one find this bond that our parents and grandparents were so lucky to have?????? HERE’S THE ANSWER!

NOW, right here in SYRACUSE, NEW YORK, you HAVE A BEER PONG LEAGUE!! Now men and women can BE a part of a LEAGUE that centers ON SOCIALIZING AND MAKING FRIENDS!!!!

I know Beer Pong is new to many, BUT it’s a blast!!!  IT’S a FUN entertaining way to meet new friends AND BE part of a GROUP!
